Silo Food Truck

Silo is where it’s at! They have something for everyone, and it’s all delicious. Although they’re known for their fried chicken and mac and cheese, the tofu sandwich with the creamy slaw is my go-to order. Plus, they have the best fries in the county! Fresh-cut, crispy, and perfectly salted with many topping and sauce options. I recommend the disco fries.

MoH for my best friend’s June 2024 wedding. Went with the fun twist of a food truck for the dinner service. Silo was beyond amazing. The food was fantastic and guests were praising the inclusivity as there are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options for everyone. The team was great to coordinate with and made the day a breeze. Cannot recommend them enough for any event which might call for a food truck.

Great food! Great Beer! Ordered the hot knuckle sandwich (with extra hot!) and mini Mac from inside Liquid State Brewery. It came fast right to the table and it was DELICIOUS! The Extra HOTT sauce was super tasty, and the sandwich was excellent- great bun, crispy moist flavorful chicken, pickles, sauce- all wonderful. And the truck fries? Perfect! The mini mac n cheese was a great side-mild and cheesy. We love the beer at Liquid State and now we love the food-from Silo!

The food truck experience for our June 2024 wedding at the Argos Inn was truly a SMASH HIT from start to finish. From making the initial arrangements to the big day itself the service was exceptional. And the food is truly delicious!!! Our guests loved the whole atmosphere that SILO provided and also raved about the food. Highly recommend SILO generally and the food truck experience especially! The food truck experience accommodated all our guests dietary restrictions (deliciously) and really allowed everyone to mill about and socialize in a way that a sit down dinner just wouldn't. Thank you again for making our day truly one to remember!

Full disclosure, I’m a vegetarian, so you may discredit my review about a fried chicken food truck business.... But I assure you, the fried tofu and every single side dish they make is phenomenal. Also, it should be noted, that Jesse is one of the most wonderful human beings I’ve encountered in my travels. Completely unaware that he owned a food truck business, he was giving me advice about where to visit, and even other places to eat, in the area during my vacation. Awesome food and friendly experience.

So glad you’re back after January break. I needed my Silo Chickie fix. It was wonderful as usual and very fast. Love the rice. The new booth seats at Liquid State are nice and comfortable too.

Silo has two locations, at the Liquid State Brewery in Ithaca, NY and on Thursday's June through October at The Pumpkin Stand in Ovid, NY. I have yet to stop by these locations and though I am 100% sure that the quality, flavors and service are still top notch my review is solely based on their very busy food truck. I have visited this food truck at many local events. Their chicken is sustainably farmed, all-natural, and free-range. All of the ingredients they use are from local, organic farmers. All of their chicken is bone-in dark meat. Each bite is moist and flavorful. My favorites are the Green Coconut Curry which is a 1/2 lb. of fried chicken with green curry over purple coconut sticky rice, greens & house-made Asian Trio pickles. The Telekinetic Chicken has a seasonal fusion BBQ sauce on the fried chicken along with the sticky rice and pickles. Both are flavor popping perfection. The sides are also created fresh and are delicious. Silo also makes a mac & cheese that is to die for. They make their own bechamel sauce as well as use NY extra sharp cheddar cheese. They have many variations of their Mac and cheese to try. The owners are amazing, always interacting with their customers, and showing them how much they enjoy what they do. This in turns makes their food more beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend checking them out.

Stopped for some Silo Fried Chicken this evening and everything was absolutely amazing!! The service was fantastic, friendly and accommodating of my husband’s special request. The food came out quickly and was hot, fresh and so delicious!! You can’t go wrong no matter what you choose but we highly recommend the Telekinetic and Glutenous to the Maximus. And if you get the french fries the red pepper mayo dipping sauce is the bomb!!
